Path of Exile Item Upgrading
In Path of Exile, item upgrading is one of the best ways to upgrade your equipment without relying on large-ticket drops or trade. This article will teach you how to upp your gear effectively.
Upgrades to equipment provide a bonus on the item's stats. The bonus is based on the rarity and strength of the upgrade component.
Components
Upgrade components are the things that improve your armor and weapons more effective. You can locate them by destroying enemies, purchasing them from karma vendors or finding them in items-spheres. You can also salvage them from equipment that contains the components, or by utilizing high-tier salvage kits such as Black Lion Salvage Kit and Ascended Salvage Tool. Contrary to other products upgrade components, upgrade components aren't destroyed when they are removed from an item.
The primary function of upgrade components is to allow an item to be upgraded however, they also serve other functions. They can be stacked in order to increase the level of experience gained from upgrading existing weapons or gear. They can be made for additional bonuses. For instance, a created glyph can increase the upgrade chance of its target, whereas the boost upgrade can increase the attack or defense attribute of a weapon or armor.
You can attach an upgrade template to an item by selecting it from the edition GUI. This will display the list of upgrade components that the item can be upgraded to. Alternatively, you can use the workbench to select an upgrade template. In either case the item will be upgraded when enough upgrade components are collected.
Each component has a distinct experience multiplier, which determines how much more experience an item will gain when it is upgraded by the component. Organic components, for instance, have a higher multiplier of experience than mechanical components. It is therefore best to upgrade using organic components until you have reached the experience multiplier of the next rank of the weapon or gear, then change to mechanical upgrades.
Each item has an upgrade maximum number that can be received. The number of upgrades are determined by its upgradeable rank and the type of upgrade available to the upgradeable item. The highest level of upgrade is a weapon that is the tier 10. However, the most common upgrades for weapons are a tier 6 weapon and a tier 5 armor upgrade.
Sets
A set is a group of items that have the benefit of. Each item in the set can be upgraded at least once and the upgrade increases the amount of bonuses that are guaranteed. The first time you upgrade an item or set piece will give it an increase of +1 to its primary stat. On subsequent upgrades the primary stats will be increased a bit more (for example, +1 up to 12+/13+/14+) Every time you upgrade the item with an additional stats is boosted randomly.
The upgrade of a weapon can increase the damage base, which could be important for some builds. However, weapons are not upgraded to have a higher defense level than their regular base. Upgrades can be a great option to increase the value of some set and unique items, but it is important to keep in mind that they might not be better than a high-level runeword in any build.
If you're upgrading an item with a bonus it can be rerolled a single time, and its guarantee will reset back to zero. Rerolling is the same amount of power dice as leveling an item, but the new item will have different extra bonuses. Upgrades can be made through the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in the Central Flarine. To upgrade an item, you will require the proper amount of Minerals and Erons as well as a power dice of each kind. They can be purchased by using Gold at the crafting table or in the Ultra Collection. The NPCs will also offer special rewards for each level of the upgrade process. This reward can be rerolled a second time and will be made using the same materials as the first item.
Rerolling

If a player has enough to reroll tokens, they are able to reroll any item that they have acquired during the game. If an upgraded item is being rerolled, it can be exchanged for a level 1 version of the same item in a different set. Reroll tokens can be bought at the store for a small amount of in-game currency, but they are not refundable. The new item will come with the same bonuses like the first, however the statistics will also differ.
In addition to rerolling items, players can also change the identification of any equipment by engaging with an upgrader NPC. This will change the identification from an armor to a weapon or vice versa, all the while maintaining its base stats and attributes that are required. The change is permanent and will affect all characters who own the gear in question.
Players can also boost the item level of any equipped equipment by acquiring upgrade items and conversing with the NPC who upgrades the item. It will cost a specific amount of crests and Valorstones dependent on the upgrade track and type. In the case of weapons, each upgrade will add 5% to its damage.
The upgrade of an item can make it more powerful however it can also decrease its quality. Therefore, it is important to strike a balance between the two. Some items may not be worth upgrading at all and some will require to be upgraded to realize their potential. A player might want to upgrade breakpoint armor with an interesting modifier ( percent block chance, or FHR) to explore what else it can become.
The primary reason why people are able to reroll in Genshin Impact, or in any gacha-based game, is that they're trying to get a specific weapon or character that they can't otherwise obtain. Getting these items can be expensive and time-consuming and the RNG gods don't always want to play ball. The only choices left are to spend real cash or grind lots. This is why rerolling is a popular option in Genshin Impact.
Leveling
You can select whether to upgrade the weapon or armor after upgrading an item. This feature is not available in the current version of the game. item upgrader think this feature was intended to add some value to expensive and rare items. However, as most gear is replaced fairly quickly, and it can only be upgraded by one level, you will typically replace it before it becomes too old. It is also not worth upgrading items using gem sockets since the power of the stone will outweigh any increase in ilvl.
If you click on the upgrade option on an item, you will be presented with a small window displaying the upgrade template of the item as well as the crest and Valorstone costs to increase the level of the item. Armor and weapons will have different costs, with the latter usually being more expensive. The upgrade template shows the stats that will be added to the upgraded item and will also list its current base ilvl.
The cost of the Valorstone and Crest is calculated using the current Ilvl of the item and the upgrade templates. Additionally the ilvl of a new upgraded item will be decreased by the template's lvl decrease percentage. For example, an upgrade of 8% will decrease the weapon's ilvl by 8 to 88%.
In addition to the increase in ilvl base it will also be upgraded in other stats like critical strike damage, PvE damage, dodge, block, and parry rating. These upgrades are also based on the upgrade template.
The amount of defense and damage the item will receive when it is leveled can be observed below the upgrade cost and decrease percentages in the upgrade template window. All weapons and armor that are not practice equipment get these stats once they've been leveled up. The market will determine the worth of these stats. A weapon or armor that has perfect rolls can fetch an incredibly higher price than an unupp'd version. The same applies to other armor pieces, such as tiaras and circlets.
